Bobby E. Riffle, 88, of Hudson, passed away on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at Hudson Grande. He was born in Akron on February 16, 1932 to the late Mac and Nona Riffle and was a graduate of Akron South High School. Bobby enlisted in the United States Navy in 1950, serving for two years. He then enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served 20 years, retiring in 1972 as a Technical Sergeant. In both 1970 and 1972, Bobby received the Air Force Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service, being awarded the Oak Leaf Cluster.
Following his retirement, Bobby attended college and obtained an associate’s degree in Electronics. He was employed with Coulter Electronics where he worked on blood cell machines, retiring in 1994. He enjoyed fishing, dancing and watching old movies. He was amazing at Cross Stitch and will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
In addition to his parents, Bobby was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Riffle on April 10, 2014; his daughter Teri Jo Riffle in 1956; brother James Riffle and son-in-law Paul Trotter.
He leaves his daughters Debra (Chris) Caetta and Vickie Trotter; sons Ronald and Randy (Tina) Riffle; grandchildren, Eric, Jennifer, Joshua, Marsena, Travis, Sasha, Bailey and David and 12 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, December 28, 2020 at 12:00 P.M. at Billow Funeral Homes, Cuyahoga Falls Chapel, 1907 23rd St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. Visitation will be prior to the service from 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Covid-19 guidelines will be enforced. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Tunnel 2 Towers Foundation, 2361 Hylan Blvd. Staten Island, NY 10306.
