Adam "Addie" Gamauf

Adam "Addie" Gamauf, 99, passed away peacefully at home March 28, 2013.

Addie was born June 19, 1913 to George and Katy Pamer Gamauf and was a lifelong resident of Copley. He started work in a hardware store at age 17, built, opened and ran Gamauf Hardware with his family until 2010, rarely missing a day of work. He was a longtime member of the Copley Volunteer Fire Department, and was Fire Chief for several years. Addie loved to fish, hunt and garden, especially with his roses.

Addie was preceded in death by his wife, Elma; son, Greg; his father, mother, and all twelve brothers and sisters. He is survived by sons, John, Tom and Tim (Laurie); grandchildren, Emily and Stephen; and many nieces, nephews and their children.

Addie's family would like to give special thanks to his caregivers, Robert, Ivory and Tracey, and to Hospice of Visiting Nurse Service.

Cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Addie's life will take place 4 p.m. SATURDAY, April 13th, at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 p.m. until service time Saturday.
