Adam P Klippel

June 15, 1927 — August 5, 2022

Adam P. Klippel , 95, born in Akron, Ohio on June 15, 1927, son of the late Anna (Weil) and Adam Klippel, and brother to the late Ann (John) Timmons, passed away peacefully August 5, 2022. After serving in WWII, Adam returned home to Cuyahoga Falls and met his future wife Sue Ann Prior.

Adam was employed at Ohio Bell/ATT for 35 years. Upon retiring, he found himself not ready for true retirement. Adam delved into volunteer work with Red Cross/Disaster Relief, Habitat with Bath United Church of Christ, and Work Camps to LaPlant, South Dakota. Adam and Sue raised 5 children within The Bath United Church of Christ. As a father, Adam was a constant advocate for his children providing support throughout their lives, grandchildren’s lives, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Adam was dependable, honest, warm and kind, and had an endearing sense of humor. Once Adam and Sue retired to Florida for the winters, both of them enjoyed assisting with Flea Markets to support their senior community and were actively involved in Variety Shows to keep the elderly laughing. Adam and Sue were married for 71 years, and Sue had been his loving caregiver since 2020.

Adam is survived by his wife Sue, who loved him dearly and unconditionally. He is survived by his 5 children: Kathy and (Jim) Newman, David and (Tina) Klippel, Jim and (Rene) Klippel, Debra and (Greg) Saiben, Paul and (Kim) Klippel. Adam is also survived by his brother Robert (Janice) Klippel, of Tallmadge, along with their families. Adam also leaves behind his legacy to 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service at The Bath Church is planned for the immediate family to honor Adam’s life in the upcoming weeks.
