Alan R. Strobel, Sr., 63, passed away March 13, 2009 surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Akron, he lived here all of his life, but his heart belonged to Canada too. Alan worked as a technician for Goodyear Tire and Rubber for 43 years.
Preceded in death by his father, Elmer; survived by his loving wife, Casandra; mother, Catharine; sons, Alan Tammy, Christopher Terri, Ben Kaitlyn, Vlad; daughter, Andra; 15 grandchildren; brother, Gary Joy; dear relative, Beth; and many other loving relatives and friends.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m., Sunday, March 15th at the First Baptist Church of Akron, 1670 Shatto Ave., Akron 44313 with Rev. T. Edward Holland officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
