Dr. Albert M. Kaltenthaler, 82, of Copley, Ohio, died Thursday, October 16th after a short illness.
Surviving are his wife of 52 years, Joann Winnefeld Kalten-thaler; two sons, Albert Jill of Dewitt, Mich., and Karl Florence Kot of Copley, Ohio; two daughters, Eva Stephen Spooner of Sheffield, England and Lisa Rob Wimmel of Downers Grove, Illinois; 13 grandchildren; brother, Josef Kaltenthaler of Ahrensburg, Germany.
Dr. Kaltenthaler was born in Worms, Germany to Albert P. and Hildegard W. Kaltenthaler. As a teenager he served his country in World War II with anti aircraft and mountain troops in Germany. Following the war he received his MD from Heidelberg University in Germany and emigrated to the United States.
Dr. Kaltenthaler was an accomplished forensic pathologist and dedicated physician for his entire career and was still practicing into his eightieth year. Many interesting cases crossed his desk and he faced all of his occupational challenges with interest, enthusiasm and the utmost respect for his profession. His family, colleagues, and friends will miss his love for life and music and his wonderful sense of humor.
Calling hours will be from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, October 20th at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Road in Fairlawn, Ohio and the funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, October 21st at Fairlawn Lutheran Church at 3415 West Market St. in Fairlawn, Ohio.
