Albert V. Sharnsky
Albert V. Sharnsky, 94, passed away May 9, 2018.
Born October 15, 1923 in Buffalo, Ohio to Rose Mary and Steve Sharnsky, he was a U.S. Army Air Corps veteran of World War II. A member of Copley Veterans Post, a life member of P.L.A.V. Post 32 and Guardian Angels Catholic Church, he retired from the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company in 1985.
Preceded in death by Helen, his wife of 68 years, and his son, Raymond; seven brothers and four sisters; he is survived by his sons, Richard (Barb) and Russell (Mary Elizabeth); grandchildren, Richard Sharnsky, Jr., Paula (Todd) Stewart, Lisa (William) Dye, Lauren, Brian and Brent Sharnsky; great grandchildren, Tyler and Riley Stewart; and sister, Marge (Robert) Lloyd.
The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Inn at Coalridge and Hospice of the Western Reserve for the excellent care of our father.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10 A.M. MONDAY at Guardian Angels Catholic Church, 1676 S. Cleveland-Massillon Rd. Entombment at Holy Cross Cemetery where military honors will be conducted. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., SUNDAY from 4-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Catholic Charities (Adult Day Services) or Guardian Angels Catholic Church. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
