Alice Moore, 98, passed away December 13, 2012 in Chardon, Ohio.
Born in Akron on July 7, 1914, Alice lived all of her life here. She graduated from North High School in 1932 and attended Hammel Business College. Alice worked at North Akron Savings Bank from 1953 to 1984 as a loan officer. She was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ where she taught Sunday School for 12 years and was a member of the Mary Martha Circle. Alice enjoyed travels to 30 countries around the world with her sister, Margaret, and brother-in-law, Frederick, and good friend, Gretchen. She also enjoyed playing bridge.
She was preceded in death by husband, Jesse; mother and father, Floyd and Rosanna Roundy; sister, Laura Roundy; brother, Norman Roundy and son, John (Sandra) Moore. Alice is survived by her daughters, Lynn Ray of Flushing, Michigan and Elizabeth Lockitski of Chardon; grandchildren, Laura (Tom), John, Paul, Lisa (Steven), Michelle (Robert), Kristen (Daniel) and Matthew (Tery); ten great-grandchildren; and sister, Margaret (Frederick) Myers.
Service will be held 1 p.m. MONDAY at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., with Dr. Donard M. Engle officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home SUNDAY from 2 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 5786 Heisley Road, Mentor, Ohio 44060.
