Alix Gradolph Hirzel

May 22, 1928 — March 23, 2022

Alix Gradolph Hirzel , 93 (May 22, 1928 - March 23, 2022) has left us peacefully to be with her Lord.

Born in Waltham, Massachusetts, Alix moved to Ohio with her family when she was little. She played alto saxophone at Stow High School, graduating in 1945. She attended Kent State University and was a member of the Beta Tau Chapter of Alpha Xi Delta where she met Al. They married in 1950 and began their life in Bath in 1957.

Loving Mother and cherished friend, she is preceded in death by husband Al and daughter Joy (Larry). She is survived by daughters, Holly, Carolyn Birchenall, Julia (Ralph Eckart) and Amy Wert; grandchildren, Sasha (Nathan), Neill (Lorna), Eric (Rachel), Rael, Jack (Emily), William, and Anna (Sean); great-grandchildren, Jessica (TJ), Allison (Matt), Michael (Lori), Iona, Eden, Tobias, Ethan, Evelyn, Eloise and great-great grandchildren Olivia, Orion and Soren.

You may remember her from Ghent Christian Church, Summit County 4-H, Bath Pony Club, My Friend and Me Creative Interiors, The Yarn Shop and so much more! In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ghent Christian Church, Box 603, Bath, OH 44210 or Haven of Rest.

Please join us to celebrate her life on her birthday, May 22, 2022 from 12:30 to 4 PM at Springcrest Lake on the corner of Springcrest Dr. and Hametown Rd., Bath Ohio, 44333. There will be a service at 1:00 pm with Pastor Jae, then stay for cake!
