Alma L. Blanks nee Glazebrook passed away August 20, 2009 at Bath Manor.
Born in Webster County, Kentucky Feb. 3, 1912, she was 97.
Preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Aubrey E. Blanks; son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Mildred; one grandson and one great-grandson; she is survived by daughters, Wilma Jean Robert McClary, Evelyn aka Dudie Teagle, Diane David Clute; daughter-in-law, Esther Blanks; ten grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She was a homemaker in every sense of the word. Her family was her priority, after God. Her stamina and consideration of others were admired. She was loved by her children and grandchildren and there was always a place in her home for them. Grandma Granny was her second name. How blessed her family is!
Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Pastor Kent R. Jarvis officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour before services. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to her church, First Assemby of God Church, 1175 W. Market St., Akron 44313.
