Alvin Earl Perrine, 85, joined his wife Lorraine of 44 years in heaven on Feb. 26, 2011.
He and Lorraine were married May 13, 1944. He was born in Randolph County, West Virginia on April 19, 1925, the son of the late Daniel W. and Annie K. Perrine. They moved to Cleveland, Ohio in 1953 and he began working for General Motors. He moved to Cuyahoga Falls and worked for Chrysler for the next 30 years, retiring in 1987. He belonged to the Mantua Masonic Lodge and enjoyed his time at Lake O Pines in Hartville, Ohio.
Preceded in death by parents, Annie and Webster; wife, Lorraine; brother, Aron; sister, Hattie Hamilton; and son-in-law, Edward Croston; he is survived by his daughter, Clovis L. Croston; grandsons, Andrew, Richard and Michael all of Akron; sisters-in-law, Gladys Groves of Webster Springs, W.Va., and Barbara Coe of Shalersville, Ohio,; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd. St., corner of 23rd. St. and Falls Ave. with Rev. Paul Markland officiating. Interment at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 7996 Darrow Rd., Twinsburg, OH 44087.
