Andrew Ralph Dilullo

Andrew Ralph DiLullo, 37, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021 in Cleveland, Ohio.

Andrew was born April 18, 1984 in Akron, Ohio, the son of Cosmo DiLullo and Mary Ellen Henderson Campbell. He was a 2002 graduate of Normandy High School in Parma. He attended Ohio University for 10 years earning dual BS degrees in Math and Physics in 2007 and his PhD in Physics in 2012. He completed postdoctoral research at Argonne National Lab in Chicago. Andrew was a brilliant and gifted scientist whose studies and research took him around the world. Andrew met the love of his life Louise at OU 18 years ago. They were married in 2011 and share two beautiful children, Fiona Rosa (5) and Julian Cosmo (3). Andrew was employed at Bridgestone Americas Research Center as a Data Scientist and resided in Akron with his family. Andrew’s greatest joys in life were learning, scientific discovery, exploring outdoors, music, sci fi literature, his beloved friends and big Italian family, and most of all, his children.

Andrew is preceded in death by his father and his grandparents, Ralph and Rosa (Chiodi) DiLullo and Ralph and Edith (Neri) Henderson. He is survived by his wife Louise (Koons) DiLullo; his children, Fiona and Julian; his mother Mary Ellen (Glen) Campbell; brother-in-law Charles Benjamin (Megan) Koons; Aunts and Uncles Pat (Sarah) DiLullo, Angela DiLullo, Rosemary DiLullo, Tony DiLullo, John (Lynn) DiLullo, Karen (Mike) Krauss; and numerous cousins, friends, and colleagues. He will be dearly missed by so many.

Services will be held Saturday, December 18, 2021 at Billow Funeral Home 85 N. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, Ohio 44333. Calling hours will be held from 10am-12pm with a service to follow at noon. In lieu of flowers, a fund to support the future needs of Fiona and Julian has been created and contributions may be accepted at gofundme.com/f/DiLulloFund or sent care of Billow Funeral Home. Memorial gifts may also be made in Andrew’s memory to the Ohio University Department of Physics.
