Angeline Goges died August 28th, 2011.
She was born and lived in Akron, Ohio. Angeline was a member of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church and worked in the field of real estate for over 45 years.
She was preceded in death by beloved husband, Louis, of 50 years; sisters, Irene and Sophie; brothers, Jerry and Gus. Angeline is survived by sister, Katherine Nick Bymakos; sisters-in-law, Lucille Van Doros and Mary Colombes; son, George Sue Goges of Naples, Fla.; and daughter, Elaine Sandy Groves of Atlanta, Ga.; grandchildren, Shawn, Sarah John, Gregory Gretchen and Jesse; great-grandchildren, Dylan, Alexi, Jake, Tyler, Griffin, Scout and Steel; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Angeline trail blazed the road for Akron women in the field of real estate. She began her career pushing a stroller and knocking on doors and worked with many generations of Akron family residents. She was a life member of the Akron Board of Realtors, a member of the million dollar club and president of Goges Realty which she and Louis operated for many years.
Services will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 2, at Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, with Rev. Fr. Jerry Hall officiating. Interment at Mt. Peace Cemetery. Friends may call at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Thursday, Sept. 1 from 4 to 8 p.m., with Trisagion service at 6 p.m. Should friends desire, memorials may be made to the Building Fund of Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, 129 S. Union, Akron 44304.
