Ann Lepkowski

Ann Lepkowski (Grannie Annie), 87, born on April 7, 1927 in Akron, Ohio passed away on Tuesday, August 26, in Aurora, Ohio. She passed away in the comfort of her daughter Linda's home in the presence of her loving family, under hospice care.

While married to Walter Lepkowski they had three children, Lawrence "Larry", Linda, and Lora "Toots". After her marriage ended, she met Adam Jakuszewski who became a big part of not only her life, but in the lives of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She received a college education from the University of Akron. She wasn't just a grandma to her family; she was Grannie Annie to many others. While being the matriarch of the family with solid values, her love for polka, crepes, maple cream sticks and blueberry pancakes was well known to everyone.

She was preceded in death by her children, Larry and Toots. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Schmida; grandchildren, Lara "LuLu" Schmida (Jon), Kevin Michaels (Anna), Michael Schmida (Claudia), Kristina Michaels (Sally); great-grandchildren, Avery Ann Schmida and Carter Lawrence Michaels, and dear companion, Adam. She is also survived by her niece, Sandra Jean Smith, along with many other nieces and nephews, as well as, her extended family, Tom Schmida, Tina Ballato (Chuck), and Jeanne Etzel.

Calling hours will be Sunday, August 31st from 2-4 p.m. at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Service will be Monday, September 1st at 10 a.m. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Susan G.
