Ann Nelson Stutler, of Akron, passed away Sunday, July 24, 2011 surrounded by her loving family.
Ann was born on December 12, 1932 to the late Edwin and Audra Nelson. A life resident of Akron, Ann attended South High School and The University of Akron where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta Sorority. She was a longtime member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the Akron Woman's City Club. While busy raising her family, Ann still found time to dedicate countless hours to many charitable organizations that were dear to her heart. They include: Witan `69, lifetime member, Stan Hywet Women's Board '70 and the Women's Board of Akron City Hospital '70, where she was awarded her 13, 500 hour service pin for her devotion with the Hospital Gift Shop.
Ann is survived by Donald, her loving husband of 60 years; three devoted children, Susan Andy Morison, Sharon Paige and Scott Stutler; and eight grandchildren, Taylor, Kaitlyn and Anna Morison, James and Jennifer Paige, Sarah, Hannah and Rebecca Stutler.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the wonderful, loving staff at Summa Hospice Care.
Private interment was held at Rose Hill Burial Park. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. FRIDAY at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 1250 W. Exchange St., with Rev. Derek Starr Redwine officiating. A celebration lunch will follow. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Women's Board of Summa Health System, 525 E.
