Ann Libby Elizabeth Vogelsang, born May 10, 1921, in Covington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully, April 16, 2011 at Rockynol Retirement Community.
She was the beloved wife for 60 years to Stanley John Vogelsang deceased; mother of Dr. Brian Susan Vogelsang; grandmother to Jaron Nzisa, Leah and Joseph Vogelsang and great- grandmother to Amani Vogelsang. She was an aunt and great-aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Libby brought great love, joy, compassion and fun to those around her. She was always considerate and thoughtful. Libby lived her life doing for others and helping people who were in need. She was caring and non-judgmental, never complained and always made the best out of a given situation. She ``bloomed' wherever she was planted. Her family mourns the loss of her life, feels blessed and fortunate to have lived in her presence, and learned by her example.
A memorial service will be held in the Carroll Center at Rockynol Retirement Community, 1150 W. Market Street, Akron, Ohio on Saturday, April 23 at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity, Rockynol, or a charity of one's choice.
