Annette Vandoros-Adams

February 7, 1959 — June 15, 2016

Annette Van Doros - Adams, 57, passed away surrounded by her family and many friends at Chandler Regional Medical Center in Arizona on June 15, 2016. Annette will be greatly missed by her husband, Nicholas; daughter and best friend, Nicole; family, and many great friends in both the Akron and Phoenix communities.
Born February 7, 1959, Annette cherished her family and was the loving daughter of William and Diana Van Doros; sister of Debra Lucas (Mitchell), Denis (Jeanne) and Tom. Blessed with many wonderful relatives and the friendship of the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church community, Annette grew up surrounded by love.
Simply put, Annette loved everyone ... and everyone loved Annette. Her warmth, smile, and enthusiasm were clear in everything she did. She devoted her life to helping others as a Psychiatric Registered Nurse and Program Administrator for 27 years. Concurrently, her love for children led her to start KinderKreations, her business that taught dance and gymnastics to pre-school children for 19 years. Annette further showed her love for others by volunteering for causes far too numerous to mention, though her passion was towards finding cures for various child-related illnesses. Even in passing, Annette helped others as an organ donor.
Growing up, Annette always knew she wanted to be a nurse. She was a graduate of Revere High School (1976), Akron General Medical Center School of Nursing (1979), and she earned her BSN from the University of Phoenix (Phoenix, Arizona 1987).
Annette had many interests and passions. She said she was never bored a day in her life. She loved the outdoors and the Arizona sun, golf, talking with her many friends, travel, exercise, watching all the Arizona sports teams (while remaining a Cleveland sports fan as well), movies, concerts, classic rock music, the theatre ... but none came anywhere close to her love of spending time doing anything with her daughter, Nicole.
Annette's final wishes were very clear ... First, she wanted everyone to celebrate her life, rather than mourn. She felt that she lived a fulfilling life and was honored to devote her life to helping others. She really enjoyed raising a wonderful, loving daughter, and she was very proud of Nicole. She lived a healthy lifestyle, both physically and spiritually, through her love of Jesus Christ and her Greek Orthodox faith.
Additionally, Annette wanted her family and her many friends to know how much she loved and cherished them. She truly enjoyed spending time with everyone, and she wanted to express her deep appreciation for all the love and support she received throughout her life. She always felt very blessed and she thanked the Lord daily for being so fortunate.
