Anthony V. Patrino, age 94, passed away on Monday, June 1, 2015.
He graduated from the University of Akron and the Akron School of Law. He was a navigator/bombardier in the Army Air Corps during WW II, and completed 50 missions. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha, St Anthony's Church, the Akron Bar Association, and the MSC Conversanse Club. He was an attorney for 65 years, as well as being employed by the City of Akron. He retired from the city as Deputy Director of Planning and Urban Renewal.
Preceded in death by brothers Luke, Vincent, and John; sister Mary Sansonetti; and son Ron Horst; he is survived by his beloved wife Virginia; children: Anthony (Val), Michael (Barb), Holly Mattucci (Carl), and Robin Sombrio; grandchildren: Michael Patrino (Sharyn), Charles, David, and Jemma Sombrio; brother Michael (Patricia), sisters Rose Hickey and Carmella Hope; numerous nephews and nieces.
Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1361 W. Market St., Akron on Thursday, June 4, 2015 at 10:30 A.M.; a Memorial Mass will also be held at St Anthony's Church, 83 Mosser Place, Akron, on Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 11:00 A.M.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to either the Salvation Army, 190 S Maple St., Akron, Ohio 44302, or St. Anthony's Church.
