Anthony Joseph Salem

Anthony J Salem , a son, brother, father, husband, friend of many, a veteran, was not “kind of a big deal,” he was a big deal. If you knew Anthony, you knew his love for life was exorbitant, always bringing light to any room he was in.  Known for his jokes and humor, Anthony always made anyone feel like they were a part of his family.  Anthony had so many passions but being a father to his son “LA” (Little Anth) was the most important of them all.  After marrying the love of his life, Daniela, he welcomed her daughters as his own, loving them exponentially. His family meant the world to him.

He had a heart larger than the universe and a depth deeper than the Mariana Trench, a humor and laugh that all will cherish and remember. He taught us all the importance of love and sacrifice, serving in Iraq, the ultimate service for our country.

He loved to ride the open road on his motorcycle, enjoy the practice of jujitsu, was an Addictions Counselor, and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree from Kent State University. He was involved in many volunteer outreach projects serving the homeless and veterans.

Anthony peacefully joined his mom, Eva “the diva” Salem, and we can only imagine what that reunion above was like. He is survived by his son, Anthony Marble-Salem (his mom Alyssa Marble), his step-daughters: Mia, Victoria, and Bella, wife Daniela Salem, his father, Anthony Michael Salem (Kelly), his siblings: Jennifer, Wayra (her son Zeke), Phillip (Jon), and Tony (Kallie), along with his flock of Lebanese cousins, aunts and uncles. The bond between Anthony and his father is living on and will continue through the relationship with his son “LA”.

Calling hours will be from 4-8pm on Tuesday, October 3rd, at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 North Miller Rd. in Akron, OH.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 44 University Ave. in Akron, OH on Wednesday, October 4th, 2023 at 10:00am.

Burial with military honors will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery 10175 Rawiga Rd. in Seville, OH at 2:15pm on Friday October 6th.
