Arthur Richard Ricordati, lovingly known as Rick, passed away peacefully at his home in Copley, Ohio, on December 12, 2024, at the age of 83. He was surrounded by the love of his family and the warm memories of a life well-lived. Born on October 5, 1941, in Chicago, Illinois, to Ann Giosh Ricordati and Arthur Ricordati, Rick brought joy and kindness to everyone he met.
Rick was preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Linda Hubbard Ricordati. He is survived by his two daughters, Ann Ricordati Kyner and Jane Ricordati; his grandsons, T.J. Kyner (Clara) and Joseph Kyner; and his great-granddaughter, Emerson Jane Kyner. Rick’s family was his pride and joy.
Rick grew up in Skokie, Illinois, and graduated from Niles East High School. He went on to attend the University of Illinois, where he majored in theater and joined the Zeta Psi fraternity. His love of theater was always present and he was an active actor and director in many community theater productions at Glenview United Methodist Church. He took great pleasure in attending plays and musicals whenever possible.
In the late 1960s, Rick proudly served in the National Guard while building his professional career. He began working with Sears Roebuck, where he excelled as a buyer and marketing manager. In 1992, his career led him to East Greenwich, Rhode Island, where he became Vice President of Marketing for Hasbro Toys. In 1996, Rick and Linda moved to Asheville, North Carolina, where they enjoyed a retirement filled with travel, new experiences, and time with family.
Rick will be remembered for his natural charm, warm smile, and unwavering positivity. Nobody loved a party more than Rick, and his presence could light up any room. He was a man of genuine kindness, whose love for life and people left an indelible mark on all who knew him.
At Rick’s request, there will be no formal service, and interment will be private.
