B. Lucille Kiehl, a 61 year resident of Bath, passed away on March 14, one day past her 92nd birthday. For the last four years she was a resident at The Village of St Edward Assisted Living facility.
Lucille was a stay at home mom and a former member of the Bath Garden Club and the Bath Volunteers. Always active outdoors her display of thousands of daffodils in the Spring brightened up her Canterbury Rd. neighborhood.
Lucille was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Floyd, in 1996. Floyd and Lucille were avid square and round dancers for many years. They also enjoyed bird watching in the area and had several feeders on their wooded property.
Lucille joined Floyd on business trips, spending months in Japan and France with side trips to Belgium.
She is survived by son, Bob (Priscilla) Kiehl of Portage Lakes; daughter, Joan (Jim) Krejci of Medina; grandchildren, Zachary Kiehl of San Francisco, Bob (Lynn) Krejci of Cincinnati, and Jennifer (Chuck) Dimmitt of Cincinnati; stepgranddaughters, Melanie (Chuck) McKean of Syracuse and Valerie Stoehr of Cuyahoga Falls; great-grandchildren, Ally and Katy Dimmitt, Rachel and Rex McKean and Lexi Peters; brother-in-law, Art (Kay) Kiehl of Hendersonville, N.C.; and sister-in-law, Harriet Kiehl of Camden, S.C. Many nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
An only child, Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, Sherman and Ida Jacobs; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Gene (Ginny) Kiehl, Glenn (Dorothy) Kiehl, Ray (Midge) Kiehl, Mae (Werner) Steinbach, Norma (Bud) Bock and Robert Kiehl.
Many thanks to Dave and Jean Heidenrich and June Koudelka, true friends. The family wishes to thank the staff at St. Eds for their excellent care, concern and love over these last few years. A thanks also to Cross Roads Hospice.
Per Lucille's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held later this year with time and date to be determined. Any donations in her name may be made to the Bath Fire Dept. To share a Memory, Send a Condolence, Light a Candle or Send Flowers, visit the Tribute Wall at
