Barbara Wolfe Culler

Barbara Wolfe Culler, 87, passed away on August 23, 2014. Barbara was born on April 10, 1927 in Newark, OH to parents Warren and Leetta Wolfe. After graduating from Lash High School in Zanesville, OH Barbara attended Wittenberg College where she was a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority. She graduated in 1949 with a degree in English and Journalism. Barbara married Duane Culler on September 11,1949 and they were blessed with 64 years of marriage, five children, 10 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Barbara served as a Girl Scout leader, volunteered at the Simon Perkins and John Brown House in Akron, was a member of the Stan Hywet Needlework Guild and chairman of the Stitchery Showcase, President of the Lutheran Church Women in Ohio, President of the Northeastern Ohio Synodical Women's Organization of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America, and President of Church Women United. Barbara was an activist in many humanitarian causes. Her time spent collecting and shipping donated items to Lutheran World Relief had a special place in her heart.
Barbara will be laid to rest in Mt. Zion Cemetery at Mt. Zion Lutheran Church in Lucas, OH. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at Jerusalem Lutheran Church in Seville, OH at 11:30AM on Wednesday, August 27, 2014. Perka Punch will be served following the service.
