Bette Joann " Toots " Walls

Bette Joann Walls "Toots" of Akron, Ohio passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2015.
Bette was born on July 24, 1933 in Bergholz, Ohio. She graduated from Idabelle Firestone School of Nursing and enjoyed 37 years as a registered nurse at Akron City Hospital.
To have met Bette was to know and remember her laughter. She enjoyed her family, friends, and many hobbies including gardening, sewing, and crafts. She was an active member of Northminster Presbyterian Church and loved playing the bells.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; son, Thomas; grandson, Michael; and is survived by daughters, Rebecca Walls, Deborah Todhunter (Rex), Cindy Ede (Dan); son, Dale Walls (Karla); sister, Donna Jenkins; brother, Dale Featheringham; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 3 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015 at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. Stephanie Crossland officiating.
