Betty Condon

Betty Jean Condon, 82, died January 22, 2014.

Born in Akron Ohio May 20, 1931 to Samuel D. and Virginia Stanson, she was a graduate of Old Trail School ('49), The Ohio State University and obtained a Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from Kent State University. Betty worked all of her career as an Occupational Therapist in Mental Health. Active in the Hudson P.E.O. Sisterhood, she was extensively involved in Christ Church Episcopal, serving on the Altar Guild. She loved to play Bridge, knit, garden, ski, travel the world and was a Toastmaster.

Preceded in death by her parents and last September by her husband of 47 years, Robert; sister, Virginia Marianne Jordan; and brother, Richard Simeon Stanson; she is survived by her son, Doug (Jo Ellen) Condon; sister-in-law, Betty Stanson; nephew, Mark Stanson; nieces, Julie (Robert) Contreras, Christine (Jeff) Gould; great-nephews, Sam, Harry and Graeme; brother-in-law, Arthur D. Jordan, Jr.; nephews, Arthur III and Richard Jordan; nieces, Kathy Jordan and Virginia Alice Kubik; great nephew and niece, James and Molly; nieces, Pamela (Dan) Fretz, Cheryl (Phil) Nelson, and Cindy (Jesse) Payne; great niece, Gen; great nephew, Spyke.

Service to be held 11 a.m. MONDAY at Christ Church Episcopal, 21 Aurora Street, Hudson with The Rev. Larry C. Minter officiating. Friends may call 2-4 p.m. SUNDAY at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park.
