Betty Lou Horvath, 79, of Cuyahoga Falls passed away on April 24, 2014 after a lengthy illness.
She was born in Cleveland, Ohio on October 1, 1934 to Norman and Lillian Jones. She graduated from John Adams High School and Ohio University. She married James W. Horvath of Cleveland on August 8, 1956.
Mom was a homemaker. She was involved with PTA, Eastern Star and the Northminster Presbyterian Church Choir. She enjoyed bowling, walking with her friend and going out to lunch.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband, James and her parents. She is survived by her sister, Barbara Kross (Matthew); her brother, Thomas Jones (Kathy); and her children, Leslie Scherry (Rich), Todd Horvath (Evie), David Horvath, and Carol Wagner (Ed). She will be missed by her grandchildren, Eva, Evan and Ethan; as well as by a host of nieces and nephews
Betty's family wish to thank Brookdale Senior Living of Bath and AseraCare Hospice for their assistance and care provided to our mom and family.
Services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St. (corner of 23rd St. and Falls Ave.) where friends may call from 11:30-1:00 P.M. Burial will take place immediately following at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to AseraCare Hospice, 2820 W. Market St., Akron, Ohio 44333.
