Betty Joann Stout

Betty Joann Stout, of Akron, Ohio, went to be with the Lord January 9, 2017 at the age of 91.
She was born February 3, 1925 to Shirl and Gladys Purkey, of Noblesville, Indiana. The fourth of seven children, she was the last surviving member of the family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shirl and Gladys Purkey; her siblings, Jack, Mark, Bud, Helen, Doris, and Paul; her husband, Bill Stout, and her daughter, Becky Bidou. She was the mother of four children, Becky (John) Bidou, Middleburg, FL, Michael (Elisabeth) Nevitt, Shelby Township, MI, Cathy (Gene) Kirgesner, Akron, OH, and Don (Pat) Nevitt, Akron, OH. Joann was a very loving grandmother to seven grandchildren, Kim (Richard) Drake, David (Tanya) Nevitt, Robyn (Jay) Radloff, Robert and Katie Nevitt, Michael and Steven Nevitt. She was also a proud great grandmother to Kaelyn and Nicholas Drake, Austin, Jack, and Ava Nevitt, Luke and Maya Radloff. She had many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 3 p.m. Friday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., where friends may call from 1-3 p.m. Interment at Rose Hill Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Akron Office of Great Lakes Caring, Hospice Foundation, 900 Cooper St., Jackson, MI 49202. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
