Family and friends mourn the loss of Betty Jane (Young) Zimmerman on May 7th, 2022. Born December 21, 1928, Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Deta and Anton Young, sister Classina (Young) Borden, and brother John Young. She leaves behind her husband of over 70 years, Henry Zimmerman, 4 children and their families: Gail (Zimmerman) and Joe Bujorian, Lauren (Bujorian) and Troy Pappas, Allison Bujorian, Joan (Zimmerman) and Dave Nilsson, Bob and Ellen Zimmerman, Matthew and Caitlin Zimmerman (Cameron and Emmett), Marie (Zimmerman) and Kevin Blakely (Rowan and Lennon), Julia (Zimmerman) and Dylan Golding, Dave and Karlyn Zimmerman, Rachael Zimmerman and Sara Zimmerman.
Betty was known to all for her love and service to others but was known quietly for her abundant faithfulness in prayer and reflection. She could be found tending to her garden, cooking meals for her family, feeding chickadees with her grandchildren, serving her neighbors and friends, and loving every day. Betty was the first one up and the last to go to sleep – never leaving a party early. Her love for others and quiet faith brightened the world of all she met.
