The Many Reasons
For the time with your grandchildren reading and playing games,
for sharing that simple things can make you happy all the same
For bocce and bowling just for fun,
for talking and listening to everyone
For the love of gardening and knowing about trees,
for teaching us to grow more plants than weeds
For using laughter and humor to get through the day,
for teaching us that big egos just get in the way
For casinos with video poker, keno and slots,
for being content even when you're not winning a lot
For watching HGTV and talking on the phone,
for not caring about keeping up with the Jones
For trying to catch Day's of Our Lives wherever you are,
for experiencing the joys of owning a DVR
For seeing friends through many hospital stays,
for never making them feel like a burden in any way
For not judging our mistakes and keeping score,
for just being there and loving us more
For running the office like a well oiled machine,
for being covered in tax returns every spring
For being a great person and helping because you care,
for not counting deeds to get in good with the man upstairs
For raising two boys who are the best fathers we know,
for knowing when to hold on and when to let go
For being a devoted, daughter, sister, grandmother friend and wife,
for these reasons and so many more
you made such a difference by living your life.
