Beverly Judge Eichner died July 9, 2014. She was born on February 25, 1932 in Syracuse, NY
Preceded in by parents, James and Helen Judge of Ontario, Canada; she is survived by loving husband, Richard; sons, Dr. William M. Eichner of Alliance, OH, Richard J. Eichner (fiancée Gayle Lundak) of Adel, Iowa; and daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Daniel Malkowski of Wadsworth, OH. Of special joy were her grandchildren, Joshua, Heather, Seth and Eric Eichner, and Samantha, Allyson, and Danny Malkowski; great grandchildren, Elaina Eichner and Austin Eichner.
She was a graduate of Chestnut Hill Hospital School of Nursing in Philadelphia, Pa. She had been employed at Summa Akron City Hospital as an R.N. for 30 years, retiring in 1994. After retiring, she attended 60+ classes at Akron University studying World Culture and Anthropology. She was a resident of Fairlawn since 1962 and was a long time member of Faith Lutheran Church in Fairlawn. She was a volunteer and past officer of the Summit County Children Services Women's Auxiliary Board, former member of the Akron Woman's City Club, an active member of Fairlawn City Women's Club and Fairlawn City Garden Club. She enjoyed playing bridge and euchre, gardening, traveling and her many book clubs.
In respect for her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Services will be for family only. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make donations in Beverly's name to Faith Lutheran Church, 2726 W. Market St., Akron 44333. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
