Beverly N (Shinn) Holland

Beverly N. (Shinn) Holland of Silver Lake, Ohio, passed away peacefully March 25th, 2013.

Beverly was born in Akron where she attended West High School and met her future husband, Howard Holland. She completed Hammel Business College, attended Kent State University and worked at BF Goodrich, Holland Oil and ALLTEL. Beverly's kindness knew no bounds, as evident in her deep dedication to her family, friends, and anyone in need. Beverly was never seen without her sunglasses and high heels. She was the life of the party, the first on the dance floor and last to leave. She loved working in her yard, frequenting Swenson's and Rex's Salvage, and her dog Lilly. Her greatest pride and joy came from her grandchildren including the most recent additions of triplets, Ruby, Thompson and Barrett Corpus, and great-grandson, Miles Lindblom.

Preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Florence "Flossie" Shinn; brother, Keith Shinn; niece, Julie (Shinn) Mizerock; her brother and sister-in-law, Charles and Anne Holland; Beverly is survived by beloved family members, including daughters, Tracy (Thomas) Corpus and Pamela Holland-Mills; grandchildren, Megan (Adam) Lindblom and Howard Joshua Mills; sister, Marlene (Leo) Skinner; sister-in-law, Francis Shinn; nieces, Lynn Gorman, Lisa (Michael) Holland-Toth, Brenda Skinner, Carolyn (Walter) Moreau, Charlie (Michelle), Michael and Jennifer Shinn; great nieces and nephews and great-great nephews.

Beverly's health had been declining for the past year and her family is grateful to her caregivers Colleen Fisher, Cassie Hubbard, Colleen Wilkinson and Rita Bevington who enabled her to live at home with friendship and dignity.

Family and friends may gather for a Lakeside Celebration of Life on Friday, April 5 at 4 at The Silver Lake Boathouse, 2925 Silver Lake Blvd., Silver Lake, OH 44224 with an Open House to follow from 6 to 9 at the residence of Thomas and Tracy Corpus, 7310 Valley View Road, Hudson 44236.
