Beverly Ann Waclawski

September 9, 1931 — August 31, 2011

Beverly Ann Waclawski nee Rankin, passed away on 8/31/11 surrounded by her family.

She was born on 9/9/31 in Oil City, Pa., and served in the Women's Army Corps in the U.S. Army. Beverly married David on 6/29/51 while both were stationed in Tokyo, Japan. Beverly was a member of St. Sebastian's Parish since 1954 and retired as a bank teller from Key Bank. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren, watching her Cleveland Indians and all-time favorite player Jim Thome, traveling and reading.

Beverly was preceded in death by spouse, David A. in 1997; and is survived by her five children, Dave Sue Waclawski of Mansfield, Karen Lee Brugmann of Akron, Teresa Larry Strayer of Orrstown, Pa., John Emily Waclawski of Akron and Mary Scott Dodson of Akron; goddaughter, Sue Jim Malyj; 12 loving grandchildren; two adorable great-grandchildren; and four sisters.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hickory Ridge Nursing Center and Visiting Nurses Service for their dedicated and loving care of our mother.

Visitation will be at the Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., Akron, 44333, on Monday, September 5, 2011, from 4 to 7 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Sebastian's Parish, 476 Mull Ave., Akron, 44320, on Tuesday, September 6, 2011, at 9:30 a.m. Interment immediately following at Rose Hill Burial Park.
