Bonnie J. Scharf

Bonnie Scharf (Huprich), 93, died May 29, 2016.

A resident of Akron since 1984, Mrs. Scharf was a graduate of Baltic High School in 1940. She attended Wittenberg University, Kent State University, Purdue University, and received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from Wittenberg University in 1947. She taught at Springfield Schools, Eastwood Schools in Wood County, and in Worthington. She was very active in church work at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church.

Preceded in death by her husband, David, October 29, 2013; daughter, Jean Ann in 1984; and grand-daughter, Kirsten in 2010. Mrs. Scharf is survived by her son, Ray (Wanda) Scharf of London, OH; son in law, Frank Luther and his wife, Ann of Helenville, Wisconsin; grandchildren, F. David and Laura Luther, Amanda Kennedy, Scott Scharf; and four great grandchildren.

Services to be held SATURDAY, June 4 at 1 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Rev. David Nevergall officiating. Friends may call at Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. on Friday and one hour before services at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. Interment West Lawn Cemetery, Baltic, Ohio on Monday, June 6.
