Branislav (Branko) Milovancev

Branislav (Branko) Milovancev, 83, of Bath Township, Ohio went home to be with the Lord Monday, November 26, 2018. Branko was the son of Stevan and Smilja (Miladinov) Milovancev and was one of fifteen children. He was born a twin (Borislav Milovancev) on the family farm outside of Sremska Mitrovica, Yugoslavia on September 8, 1935. Branko was raised in Yugoslavia and completed trade school following grade school for finish carpentry and cabinetmaking.
Branko married Vidosava (Vida) Vujic from Ruma, Yugoslavia on December 8, 1963 and they immigrated to the United States on July 15, 1968 and settled in Akron, Ohio. Branko was always thankful for the opportunities and freedoms that were afforded to him and his family in the United States of America.
Branko was a faithful member in the Apostolic Christian Church (Nazarean) since the age of 19. As a lover of music and hymn singing, he served as Sunday School Song Leader, Song Leader and Choir Leader. Using the "old world" carpentry trade learned in Europe, he helped build many homes in the greater Akron area and also volunteered to help build many churches. Branko also enjoyed mentoring and training other finish carpenters and cabinetmakers.
Branko lived and loved life to the fullest. He would always have a smile, words of encouragement, and a roll of Smarties® ready for any child or adult who needed cheering up. Branko enjoyed his work, but also enjoyed traveling, fishing, following local sports teams, and spending time with his wife, Vida; children, Steven and Michael (Monica) Milovancev; and grandchildren, Martyn, McKenna, and Maxtyn Milovancev.
Family and friends are welcome to Billow Fairlawn Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd, Akron, OH 44333 on Sunday, December 2, 2018 for visitation from 2:00-5:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 10:30 AM at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Moore's Chapel. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
