Bryan L Kinnamon

Bryan LaVerne Kinnamon died on January 19, 2022.

Born in Ottumwa, Iowa, Bryan attended a one room rural schoolhouse (The Blackaby School), Bloomfield High School, Iowa State University (Chemical Engineering, Delta Upsilon Fraternity), University of Akron (M.B.A.) and M.I.T. ( Sloan Fellow, Masters in Management). He retired from Goodyear as Vice President of Original Equipment, North America Tire. He later spent five years as an Industrial Liaison at The Ohio State University College of Agriculture. He was a recipient of the Simonetti Award from the University of Akron. Bryan served on many community boards through the years and chaired the Akron Child Guidance Board and the Stan Hywet Hall Board. He was a proud member of Class X of Leadership Akron. His career took the family to North Carolina, New Hampshire, Luxembourg, and Boston with stops in Akron along the way. He had many hobbies, including woodworking, decoy collecting, pioneer crafts, and hunting. He was an avid hiker and completed every trail in the Cuyahoga Valley National Park as well as the Fall Hiking Spree in the MetroParks for over 30 years.

He leaves his wife of 51 years, Susan; his daughters, Lori Lucas (Tim) and Sara Fritsch (Oliver), and 5 grandchildren, Zoe, Weston, and Piper Lucas and Winter and Penelope Fritsch. Bryan was predeceased by his siblings, Karen, Linda and Michael. Per his request (and due to COVID) there will be no services.
