Carl David Keffer
passed away with family at his side on Memorial Day - May 29, 2023.
Dave was born in LaGrange, Ohio on June 20, 1947 to Carl Emerson and Doris June (Willis) Keffer. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends and, “back in the day” enjoyed travel, fishing, bowling and golf. He served in the U.S. Army, retired from First Energy, and was an avid Cleveland Indians/Guardians and Rubber Ducks baseball fan.
Dave is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Gary and Rick, sister Pat and bonus mom, Gooch. He is survived by his wife Jan (nee Barkley); sons David (Ann) and John (partner Rose); daughters Lisa Patrlja and Amanda Montanez; grandchildren Serena (Blaine) Kingery, Steve and Lucian; sister June (Jerry) Snyder; nieces and nephew.
To honor Dave’s wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no formal services. The family would like to give special thanks to the staff at Cleveland Clinic Akron General, Elara Caring Home Health and Copley/Bath EMS. The care and kindness shown to Dave and his family in recent years were extraordinary. Although sad at Dave’s passing, the family is grateful that he is at peace, and that his children carry forward his humor and wit.
