Carol Ann Holm

Carol Ann Holm , 91, passed away September 11, 2023 at Doylestown Healthcare Center after a brief illness.

She was born on May 30,1932 in Akron, the daughter of the late John and Susan Bakos. She graduated from Garfield High School then attended Hammel Business School, followed by a brief time at Akron University. Her lifelong career was a Realtor which she managed while raising a family. She also enjoyed her time as a Sunday school teacher.

She was a loving and caring wife, mother, and grandmother who made family the highest priority and was always willing to help others in need. Her sense of humor was contagious and she enjoyed watching sports, going fishing, gambling with friends and family and telling corny jokes that she had saved. She was always concerned with her family’s well being and never wavered from watching over us. She will be dearly missed but can now be with our dad and her husband Jerry.

She is survived by son, Jerry Holm Jr. and his wife, Mardi of Mississippi, daughter, Susan Anderson and husband, Jim; grandsons, Tyler and his wife, Samantha and Tanner Holm; step granddaughters, Amy Wilkey, Stacey Myers and Ashley Holladay; 5 step great grandchildren and 2 nephews.

The family would like to thank the staff at Doylestown Healthcare Center as well as Ohio’s Hospice Lifecare for their care and support. The family would also like to thank the many friends and neighbors for their never ending support and help with mom in her times of need. Also, a great level of gratitude for her caregivers, Janice, Susan, and Gail to make her as comfortable as possible.

Funeral Services will be held Noon FRIDAY, September 22 at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, 44333, the family will receive friends from 10AM-Noon. Burial will follow the service at Rose Hill Burial Park.
