Carol Ann passed away suddenly in an accidental fall on Thanksgiving morning.
She graduated from Revere High School in 1961. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree and Masters Degrees from American University in Washington, D.C. She returned to Ohio from an executive position with Battelle Memorial Institute in Washington, D.C. in 2000. She then took a job with the Western Reserve Historical Society's Frederick C. Crawford Museum of Transportation and Industry for several years. She also was a volunteer for the Shaker Heights Historical Society and the American Cancer Society in Lyndhurst, Ohio. She had no children. She will be remembered fondly by her friends and family as very warm and outgoing and always happy!
She leaves behind, her brother, Donald (Wendy) MacKay; her nephews, Robert (Lisa II) MacKay, Douglas (Lisa I) MacKay, Andrew MacKay (fiancée, Maria Billings); and niece, Marnie MacKay Joseph (fiancé, Kevin Csontos); as well as ten grandnephews and nieces. She adored her adopted cats, Thug and Mom. We will all miss her laughter and her wonderful sense of humor!
