Carol McCrea Ruhlin passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 28, 2015.
She was born in Baltimore, MD, to Lester William McCrea and Georgie Preston McCrea.
Carol met the love of her life, Jack, at a Naval Academy tea dance in Annapolis and they were married on July 21, 1945.
Carol spent much of her life serving the Akron community as a lifelong member of The Junior League of Akron, The Akron General Medical Center Women's Board and The Akron Woman's City Club. She also belonged to Bath Volunteers for Service and Meals on Wheels.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John B. Ruhlin and her sister, Margery McCrea Gaskill. She leaves her children; John B. Ruhlin, Jr. (Susan),
Suzon Ruhlin Bukovey (Larry) and James L. Ruhlin (Susie); and her grandchildren, James Lester Ruhlin, Jr., Michael Ulrich Ruhlin (Maureen), Gretchen McCrea Gerski, and Kathleen McKenna Ruhlin.
The family wants to thank all those at The Village at St Edward for their loving care of Carol and the added comfort provided by Harbor Light Hospice.

A private memorial service is planned at St. Paul's Episcopal Church chapel with inurnment at Rose Hill Burial Park. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
