Catherine Ann Filo

Catherine Ann Filo “Katy” (nee Porosky) passed away November 27, 2024, at Timberland Ridge at age 96.

She was born in Ravenna, OH and lived in Akron. Katy was a graduate of the University of Akron and taught in Akron Public Schools. She married Frank Filo in 1955 and began growing their loving family. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew R. Porosky and Twilah B. Coons; sister Margaret Crabtree; husband Frank Filo; brother Paul (Delores) Porosky.

Katy is survived by five loving children; nine wonderful grandchildren; and four joyful great grandchildren. 

Katy will be missed by all who knew and loved her. 

Funeral Service will take place at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd. Fairlawn, OH 44333 at 11:00 AM on TUESDAY, December 3, 2024. Friends may call from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Interment immediately following in Rose Hill Burial Park, Akron.
