Catherine E. "Cem" Macey, 70, died Nov. 17, 2012.
A life resident of Akron, she was a graduate of Revere High School and Mills College in Oakland, California. Cem was involved in numerous historical societies where she served as an officer on the local and state levels.
Preceded in death by parents, J. Hugh and Catie; and brother, Ward; she is survived by sisters, Railey Macey and Randy (Mike) Denton; nieces and nephews, Jennifer Denton Kaderka, Robert Ward Macey, V. J. Bradford Denton, and Emily Macey Grimmond; and many great nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. David A. Loar officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Bath Fire and Rescue, 3864 W. Bath Rd., Akron 44333.
