Cecil C. Daugherty
Cecil Charles Daugherty, 75, died at Akron General Hospice Care in Fairlawn, OH on September 5, 2015.
Born on May 18, 1940 in Steubenville, OH to Homer Cecil and Thelma Ruth (Work) Daugherty, Cec grew up in Weirton, WV and graduated from Weir High School in 1958. While a senior at Bethany College, he met his wife Constance Kusic who survives him after 52 years of marriage.
After 20 years in retail management, Cec established his own interior design business in 1987 which he operated until his death.
He also leaves behind daughter, Daphne Cody; son-in-law, Jason Cody, and granddaughters, Claire and Mae Cody of Glencoe, IL; son, Daniel Daugherty of Hartville, OH; beloved relatives and unconditionally loyal friends.
Cec always looked for a "patch of blue" sky in all circumstances and found it in enduring relationships, cheering for his Steelers, walking with his "girlfriends," eating ice cream, working in his yard, being in the woods, setting up train layouts and smoking his pipe, as well as good food, good music, and weekends at Lakeside with his euchre club. Cec was sustained by his Bible Study of 35 years, which he attended with Connie.
He passed in peace with blessed assurance of an eternal dwelling place that had been prepared for him in the Kingdom of God.
