Charles F. Hanson, 79, passed away May 10, 2010.
Born in Akron, he was a resident of Cuyahoga Falls for many years. He was a member of Grandview United Methodist Church, American Legion Post #281, the Telephone Pioneers, and was the Commander of VFW Post #3294. He retired from Ohio Bell after 35 years of service.
Preceded in death by parents, George and Elizabeth and brother, James, he is survived by wife of 46 years, Sandra; sons, Thomas and Ronald; granddaughter, Brittany; sister-in-law, Sharon Hessoun; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 1:30 p.m. Friday at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St., with Rev. James McKenzie officiating. Interment at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park with Military Honors conducted by Charles Faust American Legion Post #281. Friends may call at the funeral home 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday.
