Charles Lecil Jackson, age 89, of Montrose went home to be with The Lord on Sunday, January 12, 2014 at his home.
Born October 15, 1924 in Kempton, WV, he was the son of James Arthur and Nina Irene (Cox) Jackson.
He was a beloved father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Survivors include his wife of 70 years, Mildred (Kisner); three children (Dona, David, and Deborah), six grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.
He was a man of God who loved his family and made a friend everywhere he went. We will greatly miss his ornery grin, his nicknames, jokes and his unconditional love and support.
Friends and family of this amazing man are welcome to join us to celebrate his life. A service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Mt. Zwingli United Church of Christ 2172 S. Medina Line Rd, Wadsworth, OH, with a luncheon immediately following. To share a Memory, Send a Condolence, Light a Candle or Send Flowers, visit the Tribute Wall at
