Charles Logan Lane

Charles Logan Lane, 94, of Cuyahoga Falls, transitioned to eternal life on May 31, 2015.

Born in Akron on August 14, 1920 he was a proud graduate of Ohio State University, served in the U. S. Army in World War II, was a charter member of West Hill Baptist Church, was a 70-year member of Adoniram-Joppa Lodge #517 F & AM and retired from BF Goodrich in 1981.

He is survived by his loving wife of 72 years, Marjorie; daughters, Linda (Richard) Mahan, Carole Luck, Janet (Michael) Sparrow; son, Charles II (Jeanne); former daughter-in-law, Leian Couchman and former son-in-law, Thomas Luck; grandchildren: Tammy Brown, Laurie (Christopher) Dunn, Chad Mahan; John (Cheryl), David (Kelli), Scott & Susan Luck; Nikki, Jamie (Becca), Chris & Jessie Sparrow; Matthew & David Lane;
great-grandchildren: Brittany Susco; Lindsay Brown; Brian, Jason, Jackson, Helena & Cody Luck; Kaden & Addie Sparrow; many extended family members and friends.

A service celebrating Charles' life will be held at West Hill Baptist Church, 605 N. Revere Rd., Akron, OH 44333, on Thursday, June 4 at 3:30 p.m., Pastor Aaron Varner officiating. Friends may visit from 2:30 p.m. until service time. Interment with military rites at Rose Hill Burial Park. Memorials may be made in his honor to West Hill Baptist Church or The Haven of Rest Ministries, 175 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44308. (Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel)
