Charlotte J. Bentley

Charlotte Jean Bentley, 83, of Cuyahoga Falls Ohio, passed away February 23, 2021 at the Village of St. Edwards in Fairlawn. Charlotte was born on May 2, 1937 in Akron, Ohio to Willard and Pauline Barlett.

Charlotte graduated from Akron Garfield High School, class of 1955. She was a majorette in the marching band. She won the title of Miss Majorette of Summit County in 1953.  Music was an important part of her life. Charlotte went on to the University of Akron and earned a degree in Business Education with honors. She worked for the University of Akon and retired in 2000.

The family would like to thank the many care givers at the Village of St. Edwards, Fairlawn first floor Memory Care, Compassionate Care Hospice and personal care giver Terressa Dixon-Pickett.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Pauline, brothers, Paul and Jim. Charlotte is survived by husband, Richard E. of Cuyahoga Falls; daughter, Nora, and her children, Rachael and Jacob of Cuyahoga Falls, son, Richard G. (Cheryl) and his children, Madison and Nathaniel of Frisco, TX; brother, Darryl G. (Kim) Barlett of Parkland, FL; nephews, James and Darryl.

Calling hours will be held Friday, February 26, 2021 from 12-2 P.M. at the Billow Cuyahoga Falls Chapel, 1907 23rd.
