Christine R. Schwertfeger-Johnson, 45 years old, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, March 15, 2009.
Chris was born Aug. 31, 1963 in Barberton, Ohio. Christine was the "Rock of the Schwert-feger Family". Chris loved her family, her job and her five dogs. Christine was a graduate of Coventry High School, class of 1981 and a graduate of Kent Stark/Malone College. Chris was employed at Lockheed Martin for the past 27 years where she was daily recognized as a hard worker and dedicated employee.
Chris leaves sons, Bannon Pouncey, 11 years, Parker Green, 18 years; daughter; Lindsay Green, 22 years; mother and father, Ted and Sue Schwertfeger; brother and sister-in-law, Ted Jr. and Beth Schwertfeger; sister and brother-in-law, Eileen and Lynn Wess.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to her children can be sent to Eileen Wess, 1350 Johns Rd., Clinton, OH 44216. Because of Chris' love for dogs, contributions can also be sent to the Humane Society of Greater Akron, 4904 Quick Rd., Peninsula, OH 44264-9704.
A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. Thursday, March 19, 2009 at Manchester Christian Church, 930 W. Nimisila Rd. Friends may call from 5 to 6 p.m. at the church. All are invited to join us in a dinner, celebrating Chris' life, at the conclusion of the funeral. Billow LAKES Chapel
