Among his many gifts, Chris taught us to seek beauty and purpose in life. He was a natural teacher who loved sharing science and nature with those around him. He believed education was a lifelong pursuit and always worked to enrich himself intellectually and spiritually. Chris spent childhood summers in Colorado, a tradition he shared with family and friends throughout his life. He was always devoted to family and treasured his friendships. His courageous spirit gave him the strength to face any obstacle. Fighting cancer was no exception. He was focused, committed to treatment and, above all, fearless. Through his courage, bravery and honor, Chris inspired others to get the most out of life and always seek a higher purpose.
