Christopher J. Gallivan

Christopher J. Gallivan, age 53, of Akron, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Thursday, March 10, 2022.  He is survived by his loving wife, Karen (nee Armstrong), his son, Connor Gallivan, his parents James and Molly Gallivan, and siblings, Janet (Mark) Chandler and Steve Gallivan.  He will be greatly missed by several nieces and nephews as well as his aunts and uncles abroad in Wales and Australia.

Chris was a loving father, son, brother, husband and friend, dedicated to his family and friends whom he cherished above all else.  A 1987 graduate of Norwayne High School, Chris went on to attend Ashland University and Kent State University, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business.  He made a career as a commercial underwriter, most recently with Homesite Insurance.  Those that knew him best will remember his kind heart, his ability to make those around him laugh and his love of all things Marvel.  True to his Eagle Scout training, he was always the first to offer a helping hand whenever he found someone in need.
