Claire Owoc

Claire J. Owoc, 90, went peacefully from the loving arms of her family into the loving arms of the Lord on May 1, 2014. She was born on October 23, 1923 in New Castle, PA to Katherine and Frank Pilch, and lived in the Bath area since 1960, moving here from Garden City, NY.

Claire was the beloved wife of Victor for 66 years; cherished and devoted mother of Kathryn (Phillip) Arnold of Huntington Beach, CA, Diane (Ernest) Kish of Aurora, OH, Richard (Karen) Owoc of San Ramon, CA and Kimberly (Matthew) Pollard of Bath, OH; adored and treasured "Mimi" of Melanie Arnold, Kathryn (David) Roberts, James (Molly) Kish, Garrett and Cameron Owoc, Emily (Matthew) Martino, Thomas and Christopher Pollard; precious "Great Mimi" to Claire and Bennett Roberts and Kelsey Kish; blessings for which she gave thanks always. Her family was blessed in return to have the unconditional love of this most wonderful woman. She was the dear sister-in-law of Regina (Owoc) Banko and wonderful aunt to many nieces and nephews.

Claire was a woman of great faith. She was a member of St. Hilary Catholic Church and past service member of the Women's Auxiliary Board of Summit County Children's Services and Bath Volunteers for Service. Claire enjoyed many years of getting together with her Dutch Treat friends and the Meadow Park Bridge Club. She was a loyal and true friend. Her contagious laugh brought cheer to everyone she knew.

A Memorial Mass will be held 12 p.m. Friday, May 9, at St. Hilary Catholic Church, 2750 W. Market St., Fairlawn, OH. The family will receive friends at a luncheon reception following the service. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Summit County Children's Services, 264 S.
