Claire P. Simpson, 54, died July 8, 2011 after a courageous 3 year battle with lung cancer.
Born in Amarillo, Texas, she lived most of her life in Akron. Claire loved her job as a mammo-grapher with Reflections.
Preceded in death by brother, Mark, she is survived by daughter, Sarah Craig Spencer; grandson, Henry; father, John; mother, Mary Kapper; siblings, John Rosemary, Tom, Jim, Maryann Seiberling, Matt fiancé Chris, Dan, Jeannine Steve Marks, and Maureen Rodrigo Rocha; many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to thank Dr. Sandra Hazra and her team and the VNS Hospice Care Center for their excellent care and loving support.
A memorial service will be held 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Billow FAIRLAWN Chapel, 85 N. Miller Rd., with Rev. William Michaels officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stewart's Caring Place, 2955 W. Market St., Akron 44333 or the Stephen A.
