Clyde Eric Kunce,
96, passed away peacefully at home on February 28, 2023 with his family by his side. A Cuyahoga Falls resident, Clyde was born on May 8, 1926.
He served in both the U.S. Army, 7th Cavalry Regiment (“Garryowen”) in the land Battle of Luzon as part of the Pacific Theater of Operations during World War II, and the U.S. Navy aboard the USS New Jersey (BB-62) during the Korean Conflict.
In addition to his parents, Clyde was preceded in death by his wife, Esther of 57 years on June 6, 2013, as well as his brother, Jack, and sister, Joan. He is survived by his sons, David (Cindy), Michael, and Paul, and five grandchildren, Nate (Megan), Nick (Carmen), Elizabeth, Emma, and Audrey.
Cremation has taken place. The family would like to thank his caregivers and will receive friends Tuesday, March 7th, from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Billow FALLS Chapel, 1907 23rd St, Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44223. A Celebration of Life service will immediately follow at the funeral home with the Pastor Michael Ward of First United Methodist Church in Cuyahoga Falls, officiating. Interment will be private and occur the following day at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery, Seville, OH.
